Plaza Honda in Brooklyn is proud to announce that Honda is enhancing driver visibility and safety on the road by installing rearview cameras on 2013 models. Over 94 percent of Plaza Honda’s 2013 model lineup will feature rearview cameras. All Honda trucks in our Brooklyn Dealership (Crosstour, CR-V, Odyssey, Pilot, Ridgeline) as well as CR-Z, Accord and Crosstour will come standard with rearview cameras.
“At Honda, we feel that this visibility feature will be important to many families and we’re widely applying it even before we may be required to do so,” said Vicki Poponi, Asst. VP of product planning for American Honda. “In addition to the wide application of the rear-view camera technology, Honda is also introducing several new features for enhanced driver safety, visibility and security in model-year 2013.”
Honda’s thorough 360-degree approach to technologies created to improve a driver’s visibility, doesn’t end with rearview cameras. 2013 models are boasting a variety of amplified technological features such as:
- Honda’s new Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Expanded View Driver’s Mirror
- LaneWatchTM
The FCW and LDW systems will be available on the 2013 Honda Accord and Crosstour. Both systems operate from a camera mounted behind the windshield to caution drivers of a potential collision in front of them or to warn drivers if another driver is unexpectedly moving out of its lane. The Expanded View Driver’s Mirror is already standard equipment in the 2012 Honda CR-V. The Honda-exclusive LaneWatchTM is a blind-spot display that uses a camera mounted on the passenger mirror to provide a better view of the passenger-side roadway. The LaneWatchTM will debut on the 2013 Accord followed by the 2013 Crosstour. Plaza Honda is a Honda Car Dealer that definitely values our customers’ safety and happiness, so we’re anxiously awaiting this new technology with open arms!
