The Honda Accord has been one of the best-selling cars in the United States since 1989. With annual sales figures that mimic entire car companies, the Accord is by far one of the most popular cars ever built.

Now, over thirty years later, the tenth-generation Accord is here and it’s “the most impressive Honda ever.” Offered in five trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring, the 2018 Accord was named North American Car of the Year ™ and is the Overall Best Buy according to Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com. It’s easy to see why.

The 2018 Accord is slightly lower and wider, with a coupe-inspired roofline, a stretched chrome wing grille, prominent 19-inch alloy wings, and stunning LED taillights. The new sportier look provides just the right amount of satisfying eye-candy.

Honda Sensing®, “a suite of safety and driver-assistive features,” is standard on all 2018 Accords, along with a Normal and Sport two-mode driving system. The automaker’s all-new infotainment system, including an 8-inch Display Audio touchscreen, updated system controls and screen resolution will always keep drivers connected. Accord passengers also never have to worry about a dead phone battery, as USB outlets are spread throughout the cabin. In the Sport trims and above, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are at the ready, but even the LX grades have a beautiful new interface.

Advanced gadgets are great, but they do nothing for keeping your bottom cozy during a long road-trip. Luckily, the 2018 Accord has exceptional comfort to match all the high-end technology. The leather-lined cabin is juxtaposed with cushy seats and a “wood” and satin metallic trim. “Get inside, and the effect is familiar Honda yet futuristic,” said Motor Trend Executive Editor, Mark Rechtin. Honda definitely didn’t overlook the details. Even the HVAC controls are nice to use, and for an added bonus they’re backlit red, when the heat is on, and blue when the air-conditioning is on. “The buttons and stalks all have that tactile detent cushioning,” added Rechtin, “a little hint of elegance that makes you think Honda spent the extra hour of overtime to get the product just right.”

And what about under the hood? The base 1.5-liter turbo-charged engine makes a 192 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 192 pound-feet of torque between 1,500 and 5,000 rpm. The optional 2.0-liter engine, which replaced the V6 engine option, makes 252 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 273 pound-feet of torque between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm. This engine design is based on the Honda Civic Type R engine, but with a smaller turbocharger and a less aggressive camshaft.

Safe, sleek, smart, and sophisticated – an amazing recipe, containing the best auto ingredients baked to perfection. The affordable price is the icing on top of an already delicious cake. But don’t take our word for it, come down to Plaza Honda to take the all-new Accord for a spin and see for yourself!
