Plaza Honda keeps the current Accord and Accord Hybrid on the ground at 2740 Nostrand Avenue. Here is what the new car costs trim by trim, how it behaves in the city it will actually live in, and where it lands against the rest of the segment, all on one Brooklyn block.

What the new Accord costs

The lineup opens with the LX at $28,395 and tops out at the Touring Hybrid at $39,495, before the $1,195 destination charge, but the number that really sets your payment is turbo versus hybrid, not the trim badge. The 1.5-liter turbo returns about 32 mpg combined; the hybrid reaches 48 in the EX-L. Over a three-year lease driven inside the boroughs, that fuel gap frequently swallows the price step between an SE and a Sport Hybrid, and the hybrid is the quieter, smoother car in traffic on top of it.

Every Accord trim, compared

MSRP excludes the $1,195 destination charge, tax, title, registration, and options. EPA estimates are for comparison only. Dealer prices may vary.
Trim Powertrain MSRP EPA City / Hwy / Combined Signature equipment
LX 1.5L turbo, CVT $28,395 29 / 37 / 32 mpg 9-inch touchscreen, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, 17-inch wheels
SE 1.5L turbo, CVT $30,695 28 / 36 / 31 mpg 19-inch alloys, moonroof, heated front seats, blind spot monitoring
Sport Hybrid Two-motor hybrid, 204 hp $33,795 46 / 41 / 44 mpg 12.3-inch touchscreen, black window trim, sport pedals, gloss black spoiler
EX-L Hybrid Two-motor hybrid, 204 hp $35,095 51 / 44 / 48 mpg Leather-trimmed seats, parking sensors, seat memory, most efficient Accord
Sport-L Hybrid Two-motor hybrid, 204 hp $35,495 46 / 41 / 44 mpg Leather with the Sport body kit, 19-inch matte black alloys
Touring Hybrid Two-motor hybrid, 204 hp $39,495 46 / 41 / 44 mpg Bose 12-speaker audio, head-up display, Google built-in, ventilated front seats

The EX-L Hybrid is the row to read twice. At 51 mpg in the city it is the most efficient Accord you can buy, and the reason is simply wheel size: it rides on 17-inch wheels with narrower tires, while the Sport, Sport-L, and Touring hybrids give up several mpg to their 19-inch setups. Every hybrid trim makes the same 204 combined horsepower and 247 lb-ft of instant electric torque, so the efficiency never costs you confidence merging onto the Prospect Expressway.

Measured against the Accord it replaced

The tenth-generation Accord ran through 2022 and is still all over the road, so that is the comparison most shoppers are really making. The current car dropped the 2.0-liter turbo and the manual, and swapped the old hybrid for a far stronger two-motor system that now runs through most of the lineup. The cabin changed the most: a cleaner dash, the honeycomb vent strip, and a 12.3-inch screen with Google built-in on the upper trims. Honda Sensing became standard on every trim.

The trade-off is honest and simple: a little less outright power at the top of the range, meaningfully better efficiency across all of it. If that earlier generation is what you had in mind, those cars land in our certified pre-owned inventory.

The recognition, briefly

The Accord is not coasting on its name. Car and Driver put it on the 2026 10Best list, the Accord's 40th appearance and its 28th year running. U.S. News named it Best Midsize Car for the Money and Best Midsize Car for Families. Good Housekeeping picked it Best Family Sedan in its 2026 awards, the ninth time the Accord has taken the category. And in June 2026 Honda sold the fifteen-millionth Accord in America, a car it has built in Marysville, Ohio since 1982.

Resale is the award that shows up on your statement. Strong residual values set lease payments, so a car that quietly holds its worth leases for less before anyone starts negotiating.

What makes it work here

Spec sheets are written for open highway, and New York is not that. A handful of Accord numbers matter more here than anywhere else. Its curb-to-curb turning circle is 38.4 feet, the figure that rescues a three-point turn when a Midwood side street is walled in by double-parked cars. At 57.1 inches tall it clears the low bars at garages that wave away roof-racked crossovers, and at 73.3 inches wide it fits the narrow monthly stalls those same garages charge a premium for. The hybrid is the rare car rated higher in the city than on the highway, 51 against 44 on the EX-L, because regenerative braking turns every red light on Ocean Avenue into recovered energy instead of wasted heat. With no conventional transmission there is no gear hunting when the Belt Parkway drops to walking pace, Traffic Jam Assist is standard on all six trims rather than reserved for the top one, and a 12.8-gallon tank at 48 mpg combined means roughly 600 miles between gas stops.

Two Brooklyn realities we would rather say up front. If you parallel park every night, the trim matters more than the color: front and rear parking sensors come only on the EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid, and the multi-angle camera is a Touring feature, while every other trim gives you a standard backup camera and your mirrors. And pothole season is real, so the 19-inch wheels on the SE, Sport-L, and Touring ride firmer over broken pavement than the 17-inch setup on the LX and EX-L. Hybrids also carry a tire repair kit instead of a compact spare, which means a sidewall cut on the FDR is a tow, not a roadside change. Ask us about road hazard coverage before you sign, not after.

Worth saying plainly: there is no all-wheel-drive Accord. On good all-season or winter tires it handles the city fine, but if all-wheel drive is non-negotiable, the conversation moves to a CR-V or another all-wheel-drive option elsewhere in Plaza Auto Mall.

Compare the whole segment on one block

Plaza Honda sits inside Plaza Auto Mall, so an Accord test drive does not have to end with a single brand. The group has operated on Nostrand Avenue since 1975 and brings five new-car brands together, Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, and Acura, with certified pre-owned inventory behind each and a multibrand used-car operation for the makes we do not sell new. More than 1,000 vehicles sit within a seven-minute walk.

That layout turns a weekend of shopping into an afternoon. Drive the Accord, then compare it against the Toyota Camry at Plaza Toyota or the Hyundai Sonata at Plaza Hyundai. If the sedan-versus-crossover question is still open, the RAV4 Hybrid and the Hyundai Tucson are each worth ten minutes. One trade appraisal, one finance office, one afternoon.

Languages spoken on our team: English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Arabic, French, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Uzbek, Tajik, Turkish, Haitian Creole, Polish, and beyond. Ask for a salesperson in your language when you arrive at 2740 Nostrand Avenue and we will find the right person.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a new Honda Accord cost?

The LX opens at $28,395 and the range runs to $39,495 for the Touring Hybrid, before the $1,195 destination charge, tax, title, and New York registration. The single biggest price move is turbo to hybrid; the trim table above shows the current spread.

Which Accord trim gets the best gas mileage?

The EX-L Hybrid, at an EPA-estimated 51 mpg city, 44 highway, and 48 combined. It rides on 17-inch wheels with narrower tires, which is why it edges out the Sport, Sport-L, and Touring hybrids at 46 city and 44 combined. The turbocharged LX returns 29 city and 32 combined.

Turbo or hybrid, which makes more sense in the city?

For short trips and stop-and-go traffic, the hybrid. City driving is exactly where its efficiency advantage grows instead of shrinking, and it is the quieter, smoother car at low speeds. The turbocharged LX or SE makes sense if your mileage is low or your budget favors the entry trims.

What is the difference between the Accord LX and the Accord SE?

Both use the 192-horsepower 1.5-liter turbo with a CVT. Stepping up to the SE adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a power moonroof, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a 10-way power driver's seat, blind spot information with rear cross traffic monitor, an 8-speaker audio system, and a 60/40 split folding rear seat. The gap is about $2,300 at MSRP.

Does the Accord come with all-wheel drive?

No. Every Accord trim is front-wheel drive. If all-weather traction is a priority, a dedicated set of winter tires makes a real difference in Brooklyn, or our team can show you an all-wheel-drive alternative elsewhere in the Plaza Auto Mall lineup.

How big is the Accord's trunk?

About 16.7 cubic feet, large for the segment. The hybrid keeps the same space this generation because the battery sits under the rear seat rather than eating into the trunk.

Does Plaza Honda deliver, and do you pick up cars for service?

Yes to both. We offer free delivery within 25 miles of our Nostrand Avenue showroom, which covers all five boroughs and much of Nassau County. Our service department also runs pickup and drop-off across the NYC metro area, so a scheduled visit does not have to cost you a workday.
